About Us

Phillip Karls

I began my career as an assembly technician and engineering technician while enrolled in college. Since graduating, I have occupied several engineering roles including; electrical engineer, senior electrical engineer, senior hardware engineer, and project lead. My extensive experience allows me to apply my expertise from several different points of view during the product development process, from how a PCB will be fabricated at a board house, to how a piece of injection molded plastic will eject from its mold, to how an assembly technician will assemble a product, to how a product should be tested. I have worked for a broad range of companies, building products ranging from high end medical devices produced in low volumes, to mass produced consumer electronics.

I graduated from Montana State University Bozeman’s electrical engineering program in 2009 and I’ve obtained CID/CID+ (Certified Interconnect Designer – Advanced) certificates from the IPC.
